Hays Paddock is one of Melbourne most inclusive parks. Located in Kew, this park contains a highly accessible playground. The playground includes a double-width slide, extra wide see-saw, hammocks, spider’s web, a sandpit with sunshade and wheelchair-accessible carousel. There is Braille and sign language instructions throughout the playground and soft flooring across it all. A fence encloses the entire play space. Bright colours and different materials provide a fantastic sensory experience.

With roads, roundabouts, intersections, traffic lights, street signs, railway crossings and mini trams, the Kew Traffic School is a great place for children up to 10 years to gain confidence and develop road safety skills. You are required to bring your own bike/scooter. Sessions are split between children 2-5 years and 6-10 years.

Botanic garden and trails filled with different types of beautiful flowers and plants. The Garden Explorer is an open-air motorised people mover that has room for one wheel chair (with on ramp). It circulates around the Australian Garden every 20 minutes. Garden Explorer tickets are available at the Visitor Centre and from the Driver. These all terrain wheelchairs are designed for different abilities and are available for both adults and children. The chairs are suited for sandy and semi-rough tracks where conventional wheelchairs cannot go. Can be borrowed for free and bookings can be made in advance. All-terrain wheelchairs are also available for use at Cape Conran Coastal Park, and the Grampians and Point Nepean National Parks.

Wombat Bend Park is an inclusive playspace for children of all abilities. The playground includes accessible play equipment and sensory activities, surrounded by natural bushland and an enclosed fence.
