A network that develops initiatives to promote and develop access, inclusions, and social options. Include motorized wheelchair and scooter workshops, road safety for pedestrians, accessible libraries, etc.

The Next Step is actively focussed on promoting independence in everyday life. Participants are given the opportunity to develop their independence with an emphasis on accessing public transport, money handling and gaining practical experience in a workplace environment.

Provides support, encouragement, information and resources to people with Down Syndrome, their families and the broader community. Services include local peer support groups for families; peer support groups (Club21) for adults with Down Syndrome; an Education Support Service and annual events

Can participate in social groups, shopping and library groups, day trips, supported residential services program.

Mountain District Learning Centre aims to further the wellbeing of all persons in the Knox area. The Social Friendship Group provides a social environment to participants and organises outings, lunches, speakers and a different activity each week. The group meets each Wednesday between 1pm – 3pm. MDLC also offers a range of groups and activity to join and participate in.

Knox City Council provides a service for eligible residents aged over 65, their carers and people with a disability aged under 65 years, to participate in socially, mentally and physically stimulating activities in a friendly environment. Activities include craft, games, discussion, outings, guest speakers, games, cooking and gentle physical exercises.

Support group for both stroke survivors and their carers.

A Scooter and Wheelchair Travel Pass will allow someone who is dependent on a scooter or wheelchair to travel for free on Melbourne metropolitan trains/trams/buses, V/Line services, Regional town buses, and other regional services that have a contract or service agreement with Public Transport Victoria.
