Stage 4 Restrictions – Action Plan Update

Stage 4 Restrictions – Action Plan Update

We feel we now have clarity on what has been a big week of announcements about Melbourne stage 4 restrictions from the Victorian government e.g.

  1. The Victorian Premiers announcements on Sunday August 2 i.e. “from 6pm tonight, Victoria will enter a State of Disaster” and “From 6pm tonight, Melbourne will also move to Stage 4 restrictions” and subsequent daily announcements.
  2. A detailed announcement on Wednesday August 1 by The Victorian Department of Justice and Community Safety on the “Permitted worker scheme”
  3. Victorian Department of Health and Human Services “Health care and social assistance stage 4 restrictions”

In response we have updated our COVID-19 Action Plan as follows.

Business Continuity

We are continuing to deliver the essential service of disability support and are taking every step to maintain the safety of our Participants and Support Workers.

Support Worker wellbeing phone calls

As we have done previously, we have been personally reaching out to all members of our Support Worker team to ensure you are ok, and that you have everything you need to be able to do your role safely.

Support Worker Permitted Worker Permits

All Hearth Support Workers should have received their “Permitted Worker Permit” via email on Wednesday August 5. If you haven’t received one please email us @ info@hearthaustralia.com.au

Disposable Masks

In addition to the 1,800 Med Con surgical masks that we purchased in late March 2020 and distributed to our Participants.

We purchased and couriered 10 surgical masks to every member of our entire Support Worker team last week.

Reusable Cotton on Foundation Masks

We have been able to despatch all reusable Cotton on Foundation Mask packs (2) this week. If you haven’t received your pack please email us @ Info@hearthaustralia.com.au so we can follow up on your delivery.

As previously advised all Hearth Support Workers must wear a mask during the entirety of their shift to assist their health and safety and that of the participant. If for any reason this is not possible, you need to advise your relationship manager immediately.

COVID-19 Safe Protocols

Also as previously mentioned please remember to follow our COVID-19 safe protocols i.e. Hearth – Employee Illness Protocol and Hearth – Good hygiene Practices

As always, we are here to help if you need any kind of assistance please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the Hearth Team and we will do our best to assist.

Warm Regards

Justin Scanlon
