Our Allied Health Approach

At Hearth Allied Health we work with adults and children aged 9 years and older. We are a mobile service, based in Glen Iris, Coburg, and Bendigo. We will visit you in your home, school and community.  Our service can offer you a team approach to therapy. Our speech pathologists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists work together with you as a team.

Therapy services we offer:

  • Life skills

    We support you to develop the life skills that allow you to be more independent.

  • Aids and equipment

    We trial, prescribe and complete funding applications for the aids and equipment you and your family require.

  • Communication

    We support you to develop your communication goals through:

    • Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and systems
    • Interaction and participation in your world 
    • Speech and language assessment and therapy
  • Home modifications

    We can assess and recommend basic home modifications such as:

    • Ramps, bathrooms, kitchens, automation, etc.
  • Functional assessments
    • Functional assessments are used to help you identify goals you would like to work on.
  • Eating and drinking

    We can provide assessment and advice to ensure mealtimes are safe and enjoyable.

    • Exercise programs
      • Development of a program
      • Injury management
      • Aquatic physiotherapy, gym programs
      • Education 
      • Accessing community programs 
      • Sports participation
    • Falls Assessment and Management
      • We assess your risk of falls and provide equipment and strategies to increase your safety at home and in the community
    • Education and support
      • For yourself, guardians/caregivers/support team to assist with achieving your therapy goals.

    Our Fee Schedule

    The prices for all of Hearth’s services and supports in the NDIS are in line with the latest NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.

    NDIS prices are reviewed annually to ensure that NDIS participants receive value for money and that service providers, like Hearth, can provide services in a sustainable market.

    When a new NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits is issued, the prices for all Hearth supports are adjusted in line with the new guide.

    You are also able to pay for Hearth Services privately if you are not eligible for the NDIS or wish to purchase additional service hours.

    • What geographical areas do you service?

      Our offices are in Glen Iris, Coburg, and Bendigo. We are able to travel up to 30 minutes, as per the NDIS guidelines.

    • Do you work with children under 9 years of age?

      No, we are not a provider of early childhood intervention.
