Hearth Team Join NDIS Community at Bendigo Ready-Set-Connect Event

The Hearth Support Services Team recently participated in the Bendigo Ready-Set-Connect event held at the Bendigo Harness Club in Junortoun. The event brought together individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of people with disability in the Bendigo region.

During the event, the Hearth Support Services team had the opportunity to network and share the “Hearth Approach” with over 40 different NDIS groups, including support coordinators, service providers, and allied health professionals. It was inspiring to see the dedication and enthusiasm of everyone involved, and we’re confident that these collaborative efforts will bring positive changes for the people with disability community in the area.

The Hearth Team is committed to improving the lives of people with disability by providing support services and promoting social inclusion. We believe that events like Ready-Set-Connect are crucial for building strong networks and creating opportunities for collaboration in the disability sector.

The Hearth Support Services Approach to NDIS Support Worker Services

What is the “Hearth Approach”?

The Hearth Approach is a process that builds and manages sustainable support, which includes employing support workers. We work quickly to set up support for less complex situations, but we take our time to build sustainable supports for more complex participants, as each participant and family situation is unique.

We provide a personal, dedicated single point of contact for every participant, client and support worker, which we call a “Relationship Manager.” This person coordinates support services, including matching participants with support workers, shift rostering, and assisting in the formulation and delivery of participant goals. We also coordinate annual progress reviews and any required support worker training.

We match support workers with each participant based on their interests, passions and goals, relying on the right human connection. We train our support workers and develop a workforce of experienced individuals over time. We use leading technology, such as scheduling with Deputy and case noting and progress tracking through Ryver.

We are grateful for the chance to participate in this event and look forward to continuing our work with other enthusiastic individuals and organisations in the Bendigo region. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of people with disability and their families.

The Hearth team is committed to providing exceptional support to people with disability, and we’re excited to see what the future holds.
